Packaging & Logistics Policy
Last updated: October 2025
1. Commitment to Safe Delivery
At SKELO Tiles, we understand that safe packaging and reliable logistics are as critical as product quality itself. Each porcelain or sintered stone slab is packaged and shipped with export-grade materials and reinforced protection, ensuring your order arrives intact, on time, and damage-free — no matter where in the world.
2. Export Packaging Standards
Every shipment follows international export packaging protocols, including:
- Wooden Crates with ISPM 15 certification for global customs compliance
- EPE foam sheets and corner guards to prevent surface scratches
- Moisture-resistant film to protect from humidity and sea salt
- Non-fumigation pallets suitable for air or sea shipment
Each crate is labeled with:
- Product code and lot number
- Order quantity and dimensions
- Handling symbols (Fragile / This Side Up / Keep Dry)
- Country of destination and consignee details
Our goal is to make packaging strong, standardized, and inspection-ready.
3. Container Loading Safety
All container loading is supervised by trained logistics staff, following B2B export safety standards:
- Pre-loading photographic inspection of crates and container interiors
- Anti-slip wooden chocks and straps securing slabs during transit
- Balanced weight distribution to prevent shifting or cracking
- Sealing and locking verification, including seal number documentation
Buyers may also request a full loading report with timestamped photos or third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV) prior to shipment.
4. Shipment Tracking & Logistics Partners
SKELO works with leading international freight forwarders to ensure efficient delivery to every region.
We provide:
- Real-time shipment tracking numbers and ETA updates
- Customs clearance coordination for CIF, FOB, or DDP terms
- Export documentation including Bill of Lading, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin
- Optional marine insurance for full cargo protection
Buyers can select sea, rail, or multimodal transport, depending on delivery needs and cost efficiency.
5. Damage Prevention & Responsibility
To minimize transportation risk:
- Containers are lined with moisture-absorbing desiccants
- Shipments are inspected for crate integrity and label clarity
- All handling complies with “Fragile Goods Transport Regulations”
If damage occurs due to packaging or loading error, SKELO will investigate, document, and coordinate compensation per our Refund & Warranty Policy.
6. Storage & Handling Guidelines
For importers or distributors, we recommend:
- Store slabs in dry, ventilated environments
- Avoid stacking over five crates high
- Use mechanical lifters for large-format tiles
- Keep slabs upright with wooden separators to prevent edge damage
We’re happy to provide handling manuals and visual guides for warehouse teams.
7. Sustainability Commitment
Our packaging uses recyclable and eco-friendly materials wherever possible. We’re committed to minimizing waste and optimizing crate design for maximum container utilization, reducing both cost and carbon footprint.
